Admin time in Dutch healthcare, the AZWA target and how it is measured

  • Admin time in healthcare
  • AZWA targets
  • Measurement method

The AZWA agreement wants healthcare professionals to spend at most 20 per cent of their time on admin by 2030. At the end of 2025 it was 30.1 per cent, barely less than in 2019. Interim targets and a fixed measurement method are missing, and in hospitals one in five intended users reports by voice.
